Daniel Sternfeld, MD

Dr Sternfeld has practiced for over 25 years in South Orange County. He graduated at the top of his class and UC San Diego School of Medicine and completed his specialty trying at UCLA-Harbor Medical Center. He is accomplished surgeon and has been rated as a Top Doctor multiple times by Orange Coast Magazine.

Rachael Lopez, MD

“I chose Obstetrics and Gynecology because of the diversity my field offers. I can follow a woman from adolescence, through childbirth, then into menopause. Few specialties allow you to have this kind of closeness and continuity with your patients,” says Dr. Lopez who joined Saddleback Women’s Medical Group in 1999. She adds, “We treasure having a small group that provides very personalized care.”

A graduate of the UCI School of Medicine, Dr. Lopez did her postgraduate training at UCI Medical Center in Orange. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lopez has served as Chairman of Saddleback Memorial’s Women and Children’s Case Review committee and Subsection Chief of Women’s and Children’s Services. She continues to serve on the Case Review committee.

Dr. Lopez is a forty year resident of Orange County and currently lives in Mission Viejo with her husband and her two children.

Linda Chung, MD

Dr. Linda Chung is passionate about providing excellent health care to women. She is committed to evidence-based, cutting-edge medicine, while providing personalized health care that emphasizes partnering with patients. Her gynecology practice covers a range of significant health events in women’s lives, including problems with menses, infertility, family planning and menopause. In addition, Dr. Chung has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

“When my scientific training, my skills as a surgeon, and my experience as a clinician coalesce to help a patient with her health care needs, I am deeply satisfied. I find that actively listening to patients, helping them voice their concerns and their values, is the key to excellent care.”

Dr. Chung received her undergraduate education from Stanford University where she graduated with honors. She earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Chung is board certified and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Chung, her husband, also a physician, and their two sons reside in Orange County.

Amy Peters, DO

“My vision is to deliver compassionate, respectful and high-quality care to all women from high acuity to routine, while embracing the uniqueness of each patient,” says Dr. Peters who is a Midwest transplant. She enjoys facilitating low intervention deliveries for women interested in natural childbirth as well as actively managing high risk obstetric patients. Dr. Peters strives to provide the appropriate treatment for a wide array of gynecologic conditions ranging from counseling on lifestyle modifications to minimally invasive surgery.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Her medical degree was earned at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where in addition to traditional medical training, she learned Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment which involves facilitating the patient’s own body to heal itself through the mind, body, spirit connection. She completed her residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Michigan, a part of the Michigan State University statewide system. She is board certified and has served on OB safety, Informatics and GYN case review committees.

Dr. Peters, her husband, and daughter have relocated from the bitter winters of Illinois to beautiful Southern California.

Crystal Yu, MD

“Every woman is unique, each with a different story and hopes for the future. As your doctor, my goal is to provide high-quality care that is compassionate and personalized, while addressing the special challenges that women may face”, says Dr Yu. She enjoys caring for women from all different ages and backgrounds and is passionate about becoming an advocate for their health. Dr Yu has extensively cared for women with a history of high-risk pregnancies, abnormal pap smears and chronic pelvic pain. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Dr Yu received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, where she graduated with honors. She earned her medical degree at University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

She is a new resident of the Orange County area and enjoys running, yoga and spending time with her family.
