Genesis is still under the direction of Board Certified General Surgeon, Joseph W. Sharlow, MD, FACS along with Patty Wehner, a registered nurse. With more than 25 years of combined experience, we are experts in Laser-Assisted Liposuction, Ultherapy, Cellulite Reduction, Laser treatments, Tissue Filler injectables, and Wrinkle Relaxers.
Joseph W. Sharlow, MD, FACS is a general surgeon who has been practicing in the Ste. Genevieve and Perryville area for over 20 years. Dr. Sharlow is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), elected in 1993 by a committee of his peers and colleagues. Dr. Sharlow maintains active membership status in the American Medical Association, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Hernia Society, Missouri State Medical Association, American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons, and the Southwestern Surgical Congress. Dr. Sharlow is also a member of the Botox® Cosmetic Physicians’ Network.
Dr. Sharlow received his advanced training in Smartlipo from two of the pioneers in this revolutionary process, Dr. Bruce Katz, Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and Dr. Michael Bruck in 2007. Since that time, Dr. Sharlow has performed over 2,800 Smartlipo procedures.
